GRADUATING DANCERS 2022

Their final year has seen them working at a professional level as they completed their last two assessed public performances. They performed the musical theatre revue Coming Together and Mythos, a devised performance where students collaborated with a series of visiting professional choreographers who specialised in different genres.

Technique classes have been complemented by sessions with industry professionals. Over the last 12 months these have included Megan Westpfel (whose credits include Rocketman, Robbie Williams and Rita Ora), Anton Alexandrov, who danced with the Hamburg Ballet for 14 years; Dean Lee (Janet Jackson, Kylie Minogue and Take That), Simeon Montague (Motown and Hairspray, both West End and The Brit Awards) and Myron Birch (Stormzy, Little Mix and Ed Sheeran).

2021/2022 also saw us continue our relationship with leading hip hop theatre company, Boy Blue. They provided commercial dance sessions, focusing on hip hop foundations. While Wired Aerial Theatre continued to train our students in aerial work, including silks, hoops and harness work.

Our rigorous approach to dance technique training, complemented with classes in singing, acting and choreography creates technically strong dance artists. While our industry focus makes the discipline expected of a professional second nature to them. Our 2022 Dance graduates are ready to take their place in the industry.
