Working under the direction of our Lead Theatre Technician, you will be responsible for the provision and maintenance of equipment in our performance spaces. You will:
Provide technical support to students during rehearsals and productions
Maintain a safe and secure workplace, equipment, and materials
Supervise students working in the technical and production areas
Support students in achieving their learning goals
Act as Duty Technician during public performances
Deputise, as and when required, for the Lead Theatre Technician
The ideal candidate will hold an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, and/or proven experience in similar technical role with working knowledge of technical theatre processes including the use of a wide range of equipment and systems such as intelligent lighting control and programming, video, and counterweight flying.
With a busy schedule of over 24 productions a year, across our two venues, flexible working will be necessary, including some evenings and weekends.
