Winter/Spring season of public performances

Romantic yet heartbreaking musicals, hard hitting dramas, visually stunning dance shows, a two-week festival of new music and a time-shifting sci-fi feature film make up our ambitious season of public performances.

It gets underway with Maxim Gorky’s portrayal of the last days of imperial Russia, Summerfolk. That’s followed by two musicals whose stories start in 60s, Dogfight and Vanities. Our Dance students explore Lucifer mythology in Fallen. Feature film Horizon examines the pitfalls of trying to rewrite history. 2ube Xtra is a 10 day festival of original new music. The Caucasian Chalk Circle questions the true nature of justice, while devised dance show This Life is Wild delves into the beauty and brutality of nature.

The season is presented by our Acting, Dance, Filmmaking, Music, Musical Theatre, Management, Sound Technology, Theatre & Performance Design and Theatre & Production Technology students. They, in collaboration with some of the industry’s brightest creatives, will deliver every aspect of our shows. It provides them with the opportunity to use and extend their skills in a real-world setting - and it provides audiences the chance to enjoy what the next generation of storytellers and creatives has to offer.

Tickets are now on sale.
