Gallery: Filmmakers recreate scenes from Blade Runner

Third-year Filmmaking students have been collaborating with second-year Acting (Screen & Digital) students to recreate scenes from the sci-fi epic Blade Runner.  

It was an opportunity for filmmakers to experiment with lighting, colour and contrast and was part of their cinematography module. Each group had dedicated roles when working with an Arri Alexa cinema camera, in addition to other industry-standard equipment. 

Students also learnt how to plan and prepare for each scene, as well as adapting to the actors' blocking and the director's creative decisions.
