This year saw the successful launch of our new BA and CertHE Musical Theatre programmes. In the autumn of 2024, we will welcome our first cohort onto our new BA Actor Musicianship programme. Looking further ahead, strategically we are exploring postgraduate development of our musical theatre programme portfolio.

We are now seeking to appoint an exceptional and experienced individual to be the inaugural Head of Musical Theatre within our School of Performance. As Head of Musical Theatre, you will be responsible for the vision and academic leadership for all provisions within the subject area. In collaboration with colleagues, the postholder will provide leadership in pedagogic innovation, student experience, oversight of the curriculum and develop dynamic networks and collaborative opportunities to position LIPA at the cutting edge of professional Musical Theatre training.

You will have a deep personal and professional commitment to equity and diversity and demonstrate an inclusive leadership style that nurtures feelings of belonging throughout the community, in alignment with the vision, purpose and values of LIPA. As a new colleague, you will join a thriving creative community and learning environment, working with inspiring students and supportive colleagues.
