The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) has been rated as silver overall, gold for student outcomes and silver for student experience in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) 2023.
The overall silver rating means the student experience and student outcomes are typically very high quality.
The TEF is a national scheme run by the Office for Students (OfS) that aims to encourage higher education providers to improve and deliver excellence in the areas that students care about the most: teaching, learning, support and resources, and achieving positive outcomes from undergraduate programmes.
The TEF panel judged our student outcomes as gold indicating they are typically outstanding. Our student experience was awarded silver meaning they are typically very high.
LIPA’s Principal and CEO Professor Sean McNamara says: “TEF 2023 was a far more comprehensive and evidence-based assessment than the inaugural exercise introduced in 2017. Our gold and silver ratings demonstrate the institution’s enduring commitment as a centre of excellence for providing a creative learning environment preparing our students for sustained careers in the creative industries and performing arts.”
These TEF ratings were awarded in 2023, for four years.
