The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts is recognised as a world leading centre of excellence for creative learning and vocational training within the performing arts and creative economies. We are seeking a Visiting Professional/Lecturer to teach contextual studies for Dance to students enrolled on a range of courses. Working with the Head of Dance, you will be required to manage modules, assess students and supervise practical activities where appropriate.

A degree or an equivalent professional qualification in Dance or Performing Arts is essential, as is experience of teaching in further or higher education. The ideal candidate will possess a good knowledge of professional practice in Dance, with reference to commercial and mainstream theatre as well as the subsidised sectors. Professional dance performance experience is also desirable.

We anticipate there will be approximately 90 hours across Level 4 (all aspects of teaching) and Level 6 (dissertation advisor). Please note that Visiting Professional/Lecturer posts are part time, fixed term contracts.
