Job
Overview
The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) is recognised as a leading centre of excellence for creative learning and vocational training within the performing arts and creative industries. We enjoy an international and national reputation for the quality of our teaching, our exceptional facilities, and our enviable track record of graduate employment and alumni successes.
We are seeking applications from inspiring and informed musicians to assist with lecture/seminar planning and delivery on our Music Production, Songwriting and Composition modules.
These posts will involve planning, teaching and assessing on specific modules across all levels of study. We anticipate this being two 0.5 FTE roles (one for Production and one for Songwriting/Composition), but they may be split between candidates depending upon the relevant skills and time available when applications are assessed. Both roles will work under the supervision of the Director of the School of Music and the Head of Music (Creative & Technical).
The ideal candidate would be a music teacher with industry experience, and with experience of teaching at HE level in both theoretical and practical contexts. You will be an enthusiastic, highly skilled professional with excellent communication skills, and be committed to providing an excellent experience for our students.
We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, generous pension, and holiday entitlements, complimentary tickets to our inhouse productions, and the opportunity to become part of our unique international community of creatives, performers, technicians, managers, and film makers.
These are permanent posts to commence from September 2025. When making your application, please specify which of the two posts you are interested in (or specify both if you believe you have skills across the disciplines).
Closing date for applications: Thursday 7th August 2025 at 12 noon
Interviews: w/c 11th August 2025
CV’s will not be accepted.
