We are seeking a Deputy Wardrobe Manager to support the work of students in the provision of costumes and related items for LIPA productions. In this role, you will manage staff and resources, under the direction of the Wardrobe Manager, working closely with costume designers, student designer and teaching staff to ensure that designs are realistic and can be made or otherwise acquired within the available production timeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the Wardrobe Department areas and undertake the financial and record keeping duties related to the activities of the department.
The ideal candidate will have a qualification in Theatre Costume or equivalent, and at least three years’ professional experience as a costume supervisor in a production wardrobe department is essential. You will be proficient in wardrobe department operations, stock management, budgeting and consumables tracking. Experience collaborating with students, designers, performers and technicians is essential, teaching or instruction experience in a Higher Education or Further Education environment is desirable.
