Update: Coronavirus (COVID-19) 26/03/2020
The health of our students, staff and visitors is paramount and following the new government rules (23/03) to tackle the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) we have now closed all our buildings and facilities to students, staff and visitors but are providing online learning for our Higher Education students.

Our buildings will remain closed until the end of the Easter holidays, 17 April 2020. We will issue an update on building access towards the end of the week commencing 13 April.

All scheduled face-to-face teaching was stopped on 18 March with online teaching commencing on 23 March. Our staff started to move to working from home on 19 March.

Our Student Support Team remains available to provide advice and support. They are providing this by phone and on-line between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, during term-time.

Our remaining auditions, interviews and recalls for our undergraduate programmes for 2020 entry are being conducted via remote submission and/or Skype. All interviewees and auditionees are being contacted and informed of the process directly.

Our graduation ceremony, which was due to take place at the end of July, has been postponed. We will reschedule the event when it is safe to do so, but at the moment - with so much uncertainty - it is impossible to predict a new date.

All public performances have been postponed. We are sorry for the disappointment and disruption this may cause and thank you for your continued support during this period of great uncertainty. The Unity Theatre, which provides our box office service, will be contacting ticket holders to arrange refunds, but we ask for your patience at what is a very busy time for them.

All recruitment and outreach activity with schools, colleges and community organisations, both on campus and within schools, has been suspended until further notice. We will be looking closely into alternative approaches to offering these engagements. We are still taking applications to our post-16 summer projects, Get Set and Get Ready, and our Year 10/11 Widening Participation programme for activities due in July and August. These projects will be subject to ongoing review and dates may change accordingly.

We have cancelled all LIPA 4-19 sessions until September 2020. As a result of this, we will sadly no longer be able to continue with our end of year shows. We're still hopeful to run our summer school throughout July/August and we will keep you updated regarding this as well as any information about the LIPA 4-19 weekend academies on the LIPA 4-19 website.

We have established a team to closely monitor and manage the situation and we will continue to act on the advice of Public Health England and the NHS.

We will update our advice as new government and Public Health England guidance emerges.

We are grateful to our staff and students for all their cooperation, help and support at this challenging time.
