We are looking to recruit a Widening Participation Assistant who will be part of a small team of staff working with schools and colleges to provide outreach and fair access activities, which raise awareness of, and aspirations to, Higher Education and encourage applications to LIPA from groups which are under-represented at university-level.
The post-holder will provide day-to-day administrative support for our Widening Participation team, supporting with various tasks related to the co-ordination of a wide range of widening participation activities, including outbound and inbound school and college visits. There will be a key focus on creating and maintaining accurate project and financial records, as well as communications with a diverse range of prospective students, their parents, staff, and teachers.
The ideal candidate will have strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills alongside proven experience and understanding of administrative and office work in a busy environment. You will be an effective multitasker who is able to work flexibly and independently when given instruction. Knowledge and experience of secondary education and/or Higher Education would be beneficial.
